A beautiful Beswick Chaffinch figurine, model 991 in Beswick's fine porcelain and beautifully hand painted.
This little bird figurine is dated between 1943 and 1973 and is a very sweet little Beswick piece.
As with Beswick bird ornaments, the detail on this little bird is beautifully done and he has a lovely deep tone of red and brown and is not faded.
The overall condition is very good. However when viewing from underneath, there is a microscopic chip to the beak, I have added an image of this zoomed in. This can barely be seen in general light.
The little porcelain bird stands at 7cm high and 9cm wide from beak to tail end.
A lovely little bird for a bird fan, twitcher or Beswick collector.
