A vintage handmade ceramic ikebana vase in a sculptural handkerchief pottery style. This striking piece has a narrow base that flows outward into a wide ruffled rim, giving it a unique organic form.
The exterior features natural earth tones of green and charcoal grey, while the interior is finished with a glossy metallic silver enamel, creating a beautiful contrast. The base is artist-signed with the incised mark “I/B”.
This vase works beautifully for ikebana flower arrangements, as a sculptural decorative piece, or for collectors of unique signed ceramics.

CONDITION:
Very nice vintage condition. The rim is free from chips, cracks, or enamel loss. On the base, there are some small specks where the glaze does not extend fully to the bottom – this is part of manufacture, not damage (see images). The interior metallic enamel is intact, with dark spots that are part of the original design.
