Antique Oak Cabinet with Barley Twist Legs Early 20th Century Bedside Cabinet

£95.00 GBP
Taxes included.

A beautiful antique oak cabinet dating from the early 20th century, featuring classic barley twist legs and traditional English craftsmanship. This small cupboard stands on a sturdy stretcher base with turned detailing and is ideal for use as a bedside cabinet, lamp table, or vintage record storage.

The cabinet has a single door with a brass drop handle and a carved spindle detail running vertically along the centre. The rear panel features air holes, suggesting it may once have been used as a pot cupboard or an early record player cabinet. The oak grain and patina give it a timeless country house appeal.

Features:

• Solid oak construction with rich aged patina
• Decorative barley twist legs and stretcher base
• Single cupboard door with brass drop handle
• Carved spindle front detail
• Air holes to back panel (possibly for ventilation or record player use)
• Early 20th century

Measurements (approx):

Height: 78 cm (30.7 in)
Width: 40 cm (15.7 in)
Depth: 38 cm (15 in)

Condition:

Good antique condition. The cabinet shows natural age-related wear including surface marks and minor fading to the top but remains sturdy and functional. The door opens and closes smoothly. On one side there are some surface scratches to the wood which can be seen in images. Internally, I have a sneaking suspicion that the shelf is not original! Instead, it has a mid century picture of a lady which I will leave in place as it does fit nicely.
