A striking original oil painting on board signed but I am unable to confirm or read the signature, depicting an abstract seascape in deep blues, greens and soft whites. The artwork has a strong sense of movement and light, evoking waves breaking on the shore. Painted in thick impasto layers that give the piece rich texture and depth.
Set in a simple white wooden frame that complements the colours and style of the painting. Original price sticker of £150 sill in place from the gallery on the back.

Condition
Good vintage condition. There is a thin surface scratch to the paint (see image 3). This looks to have been caused by a sharp object when the paint was wet? The mark is stable and does not detract from the overall impact of the piece.
The surface is textured with some natural irregularities from the impasto technique. Frame has light surface marks consistent with age but displays beautifully.
